We don’t usually send out two editions of the newsletter so close together, but this week we have some very exciting news to share with all of you. Two pieces of news, actually.
Firstly, our gallery is honoured to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of the International Prestige Awards, having been awarded the Art Studio of the Year in The Northern Territory!
We accepted the nomination, not really imagining that we would win the award and were shocked when we were notified of our win in these awards. Our studio and gallery overcame a very tough 2020 by being more savvy on social media, targeting our local market, creating a whole new sleek looking website and just continuing to provide the best experience possible to visitors to alice Springs and our gallery.
We we’re feeling the pressure of 2020 as many small businesses did, but receiving this award makes us see that we are on the right track as we begin to move forward from the global pandemic which has caused such disruption these last 18 months or so.
A second piece of exciting news is that Yubu Napa Art Gallery is now partnering with Art Money to make it even easier for lovers of beautiful Indigenous artwork to afford that special piece, be it the first time buyer or a seasoned collector.
We partner with Art Money to make art more accessible, support artists and a sustainable creative economy. Art Money allows you to enjoy your artwork now and pay over time, whilst we and our artists are paid immediately. Get Started

We have begun work adding our gift shop to the website and are please to announce that the ininiti seed and gumnut necklaces have just been added this week.
These necklaces are made by the local women using ininiti seed, gumnut and quandong seed. These seeds have holes bored into them before they are threaded onto sting or elastic. Some gumnuts are painted and others have pattens burnt into them. The ininiti comes in shades of red orange and yellow and are a stunning piece of Central Australia that can be posted worldwide. Prices on the website include postage.
Also added to the website are our Chainstitch rugs which feature indigenous art designs and are made under license, providing a good passive income for the artists who have licensed their designs. We recently facilitated the use of Nellie Marks Nakamarra Rainbow Tali artwork onto rugs and cushions. These will be added in the coming days.
